Below you will find the instructions on how to get the utilities turned on in their name.

PROVO CITY ELECTRIC:

How do I get Started?

To receive electric (or any other utilities) service, you must do the following:

  • Call the office at 801-852-6000 and set it up using the prompts. You will need to know the address of the property, date of service start up.
  • Visit the office at 251 South 800 North Provo. Again, you’ll need the property address and the date you’d like to start services.

Will I need a deposit?

In most cases the utility company does require a small deposit which is refundable. Electric deposit is $75 per unit. This deposit will be refunded (less the balance on your final bill) or after 2 years of service with timely payments.

What Do I Need to Do When I Need to Leave?

You will need to tell us: by calling the number above or visiting their office.

  • When you want services turned back into landlord’s agreement.
  • Where to send the final bill and deposit refund.

We need to know at least one day but not more than two weeks in advance.

DOMINION ENERGY (GAS):

How do I get Started?

To receive gas (or any other utilities) service, you must do the following:

  • Call the Utility Department at:

    (801) 324-5111

  • Know your correct address. Service can usually begin the same day you sign up.

Will I need a deposit?

There is a connection fee of $8 plus tax connection fee if service is already on at the premises and service needs to be transferred into a new name.

What Do I Need to Do When I Need To Leave?

You will need to tell us:

  • When you want services turned back into landlords name.
  • Where to send the final bill and deposit refund.

We need to know at least three business days before tenancy ends.

GOOGLE FIBER INTERNET:

How do I get started?

Go to their office located at 250 Center Street Unit #101 in Provo. You’ll need to know your address.

Is there a fee?

Yes, depending on the services you’re signing up for. To get a router box it does cost $20-$30.

What to do when I move out?

Take your black Google Fiber router box back to the office at 250 Center Street Unit #101 in Provo.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER – OREM/VINEYARD PROPERTIES

How to get started?

Call 888-221-7070. You’ll need to know your property address, Drivers License/ ID, Social Security number or tax id #.  and the date in which you’d like to start service.

Is there a fee?

Yes, there is a connection fee/deposit due which you will get on your first bill.

What to do when I move out?

You’ll call 888-221-7070 and request to have utilities put back in the Landlord Agreement.
